5月12日14时28分，四川汶川发生8级大地震，地震 波及了东南亚地区和大半个中国。下午2点28分，上海总部的同事们先是一阵眩晕，然后办公楼开始明显的晃动，人们纷纷从安全通道撤离到楼下空旷处，这时电话声、短信铃声此起彼伏，大家都在询问家人朋友的情况，有的及时给家里报平安，联系中有人告诉大家是我们的四川发生了大地震！
当天晚上看电视新闻，当地还是余震不断，灾情严重，我们的总理也在12日下午便赶往了四川，指挥抢险救灾工作。公司总部立即决定捐款一万欧元用于灾区重建工作。14日一早公司人事部发出倡议书，动员全体员工为灾区捐款，一时间同事们纷纷慷慨解囊，捐款一直持续到5月30日。

The massive earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale, which struck Wenchuan of Sichuan at !4:28 of 12th, May, has spread to and affected the area of southeastern Asia and more than half of China. 14:28 of that day, the colleagues in Shanghai headquarter felt giddy and the swaying of the office building. The people ran out from the office building to the open area outside. People started to use the phone to contact their family and friends to see if everyone they care are OK in this earthquake which struck Sichuan. From the news on TV that night, people got to know that it’s a serious disaster for Sichuan with continuous aftershock. Our Prime Mister went to Sichuan at prime time in order to direct the rescue work. U.I.Lapp decided to donate 10,000 Euro for the reconstruction of the disaster area after the news went to Germany. On 14th of May, as a response to the mobilization of HR department’s donation proposal, the staff in Lapp started to donate in succession with their great love and generosity until the day of 30th, May.
